A 15 year old female patient came in with her mother. The patient fell in the shower and hit her head. Fortunately, there was no sign of head injury, but her mother still wanted to get an herbal decoction to remove blood stasis.

After prescribing herbal decoction, and when we were about to do an acupuncture treatment, we noticed her hand was very wet.

It turned out she had severely sweaty hands (hyperhidrosis). Because of this, she was not able to take notes at school.

 

Once the patient finished her herbal decoction we started an acupuncture treatment for hyperhidrosis. The acupuncture point “Gallbladder tonify” for control chill & fever, and “Stomach sedate cold” for controlling stomach heat was used. After two treatments, her hyperhidrosis was resolved.
