The World Health Organization (WHO) defines infertility as the inability to achieve a clinical pregnancy after 12 months or more of regular unprotected sexual intercourse.

Typically, about 85-90% of healthy couples are able to conceive within a year, while the remaining 10-15% are diagnosed with infertility.

However, it is important to note that even if a couple has been trying to conceive for over a year, it is still uncommon for fertility to be entirely impossible.

“Infertility” is not equal to “Sterility”

“Infertility” is a stage where you need medical help to conceive.
