WHAT IS HERBAL MEDICINE?

Herbal medicine is a practice that dates back to the earliest days of humanity. As hunter-gatherers, our ancestors relied on their knowledge of the environment to survive. They learned through direct experience which plants were toxic, which ones provided sustenance and strength, and which had healing properties.

Over thousands of years and millions of human trials, this knowledge was passed down, leading to the evolution of an incredibly sophisticated system of herbal medicine. Today, more than 400 individual herbs and over 300 classical herbal formulas are utilized in this system, which incorporates a powerful diagnostic process. We combine information from your personal history, pulse, tongue, and channel diagnosis methods to determine which classic patterns or combination of patterns of blockage you exhibit. This allows us to create a custom herbal formula that addresses your specific needs and helps restore balance to your body.

At Orange Clover Holistic Center, we specialize in creating customized herbal formulations tailored to your unique symptoms and their underlying causes.

It's important to note that even the highest quality herbs may have minimal effectiveness if they are not customized to meet the specific needs of the individual.

Although symptoms may appear similar between different people, the underlying causes can often be quite different.

Only Medical Grade herbs are used at Orange Clover Holistic Center

The quality of herbs, just like fruits and vegetables, is largely dependent on where and how they are grown. In countries like Korea and China, herbs are considered to be a type of medicine.

As such, there is a government agency called the KFDA (Korean Food and Drug Administration) that differentiates between medical-grade herbs and food-grade herbs.

Only licensed Oriental Medicine physicians are authorized to purchase and handle medical-grade herbs that have been washed and certified by the KFDA. This ensures that the herbs used in herbal medicine are of the highest quality and purity, with no contaminants or other impurities that could affect their efficacy or safety.

At Orange Clover Holistic Center, we take great care in sourcing our herbs from trusted and reputable suppliers who adhere to these strict standards, so you can be confident that you are receiving the highest quality herbal medicine available.

Herbal Decoction can relieve other symptoms other than your main symptoms

Eastern medicine emphasizes the balance and harmony of the body's five major organs and six minor organs. This means that treatment involves not only addressing the primary symptom but also working to balance the other organs in the body.

For instance, if a patient experiences mild digestion issues, herbs that promote digestion will be prescribed, and if the patient has symptoms of feeling cold, herbs that warm the body will also be included in the formula. By addressing the overall balance of the body, symptoms are relieved, and the immune system is strengthened.

Eastern Medicine can prevent you from having same symptoms again

In contrast to conventional medicine, hormone therapy, and surgery which may be effective but can lead to severe side effects over long periods of use, Eastern Medicine focuses on addressing the root cause of the problem.

This approach reduces the likelihood of recurring symptoms. Additionally, herbal medicine used in Eastern Medicine has no known side effects, making it safe to take for extended periods.

NO SIDE EFFECTS AND SAFE FOR LONG-TERM USE

We used 100% medical-grade herbs for hour herbal formulas, making it the most natural form of medicine available.

Extracting a single chemical from the herbs disrupts the natural balance of the herb and may cause a loss of potential synergistic effects that are present in the whole plant.

In traditional herbal medicine, it is believed that each herb contains a complex mixture of active compounds that work together to produce the desired therapeutic effects. By using the whole herb, rather than isolating individual compounds, it is possible to achieve a more balanced and holistic approach to healing. Additionally, many herbs have multiple therapeutic properties, and using the whole herb allows for a wider range of benefits to be obtained.

Improve the immune system

Pain and fevers are often indications of an imbalanced immune system. However, using pain or fever medication (antipyretics) regularly can weaken our immune system's ability to combat the underlying cause of the illness. This can result in a vicious cycle, as a weakened immune system makes us more susceptible to other diseases, leading to increased medication use.

Herbal decoctions, on the other hand, work to repair and restore the circulation of our body's blood and energy, ultimately improving our immune system. Unlike medication, herbal decoctions do not have the potential to weaken our immune system, making them a natural and effective alternative for supporting our body's defenses.
